REQUIREMENTS DIGITWIN

Digitwin is a fully web-based application. For an optimal user experience with Digitwin, please find below some prerequisites and advice.

Web Browsers

Digitwin works best in the common web browsers:

About Internet Explorer 11

Digitwin does not support Internet Explorer 11 (and Microsoft Edge Legacy).

About Safari

Digitwin doesn't officially support Safari, but we've heard that it works just fine. Experiencing problems? Then switch to Chrome. In this case, please report the Safari problem to support@argaleo.com and we'll do our best to solve it.

Hardware

For desktop systems, we recommend at least 8GB of memory with modern graphics hardware for 3D.

Minimum requirements are a high-performance graphics card with at least 512MB of video memory. For best performance, a graphics card with at least 2GB of video memory is recommended.

Stand-alone/GPU's are progressively faster than integrated graphics.

Virtual/Remote Environments

We mean by this techniques also known under the collective names:

  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
  • Server Based Computing (SBC)
  • Thin Clients

The most common implementations include:

  • VMware
  • Citrix
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services / Terminal Server

These techniques usually don't handle 3D graphics optimally because the 3D acceleration/GPU is missing. Therefore, the use of Digitwin is not recommended in these situations. If you want to use Digitwin anyway, make sure the virtual desktop has dedicated access to the same hardware as described above.
