During the Life I Live festival in The Hague, a new feature of the Crowd Safety Manager dashboard was tested, which is part of the digital twin platform used to manage public safety during major events.
The annual festival attracts more than 200,000 visitors and places high demands on safety measures. For the first time, advanced sensors from CrowdScan were deployed during the festival to measure crowding. These sensors collect data on crowd density through wireless signals, enabling a privacy-friendly approach without cameras.
The collected data is then displayed in real-time in the Crowd Safety Manager dashboard. This allows the organization, police, and municipality to respond efficiently based on accurate and current information.
The development of the dashboard has been continued in close collaboration with the municipality of The Hague and the police to ensure that the platform continues to meet the dynamic needs of large public gatherings. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to contributing to a safe and organized festival experience through technological innovation and collaboration with local authorities.
