The breakthrough of data

From 26 to 31 October, the third edition of the Data Week will be held in Den Bosch. Precisely at a time when data and digitization are so crucial to the way in which society responds to an unprecedented crisis. More than ever we are looking for meaningful use of data, for truth, objectivity and security. Data is nothing without applying it intelligently. You can let products think for you or let them support you in your daily needs.

SAVE? DATA-DRIVEN LOGISTICS IN THE SOUTH OF THE NETHERLANDS!

The logistics and economy in the south of the Netherlands is doing well. This has consequences for economic accessibility, quality of life and the environment. Where the logistics sector is held responsible for part of the accessibility problem, it indicates that it also wants to be part of the solution.

Logistics entrepreneurs expect the most impact within the sector from: collaboration, data sharing and the translation to relevant insights to improve service delivery. SmartwayZ.NL and Logistics Community Brabant are therefore committed to a data-driven approach to improve the dialogue between logistics companies and road authorities. The core of the solution is to bring together logistical, accessibility and spatial data in order to identify and optimise bottleneck analyses in the logistical process. In addition to the smart organisation of the logistics process, a great deal of attention is also paid to improving traffic flow, reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Janneke Nijsing (SmartwayZ.NL) and Joost de Kruijf (LCB) provide a Data Talk with various examples of data applications in logistics, such as Transport Radar (Route42) and Atlas De Leefbare Stad (LCB) developed together with Argaleo.
