ACCELERATING? DATA-DRIVEN LOGISTICS IN THE SOUTH OF THE NETHERLANDS!
Logistics and the economy in the south of the Netherlands are thriving. This has implications for economic accessibility, livability, and the environment. While the logistics sector is held responsible for part of the accessibility problem, it has indicated that it wants to be part of the solution as well.
Logistics entrepreneurs expect the greatest impact within the sector from: collaboration, data sharing, and translating that data into relevant insights to improve services. SmartwayZ.NL and Logistics Community Brabant are therefore investing in a data-driven approach to improve the dialogue between logistics companies and road authorities. The core of the solution is bringing together logistics, accessibility, and spatial data to identify and optimize bottlenecks in the logistics process. In addition to smart organization of the logistics process, there is also significant attention to better traffic flow, lower fuel consumption, and reduced CO2 emissions.
Janneke Nijsing (SmartwayZ.NL) and Joost de Kruijf (LCB) deliver a Data Talk with various examples of data applications in logistics, such as Transport Radar (Route42) and Atlas The Livable City (LCB), which was developed together with Argaleo.
