Following the Connekt Affiliation Event on 10 July, Argaleo has joined the Connekt network as an Affiliation Member. Connekt is an independent network for smart mobility and sustainable logistics. A blend of knowledge, creativity and determination where influential parties from the triple helix come together: Connekt connects governments, businesses and knowledge institutions. With more than 500 partners worldwide, they devise and deliver tangible solutions that improve the world – both economically and in terms of sustainability.
The Affiliation Programme
Within the Affiliation Programme, Connekt connects start-ups with established organisations. The start-ups that convinced the network of their concept during the Affiliation Event were offered a Connekt coaching membership. Connekt members can connect with the start-ups by becoming a coach. TU Delft became Argaleo’s coach. In an interview, Jeroen Steenbakkers (owner of Argaleo) shares his experience with the Affiliation Programme.
“The Affiliation Programme is a great initiative. Connekt has an excellent network. For start-ups, however, it can still be financially challenging to become a member and join the network. The fact that Connekt still offers start-ups the opportunity to join through the Affiliation Programme is wonderful. Especially for start-ups, it is important to have good connections and contacts. The mentoring function that comes with the Affiliation Programme is also valuable. Having someone who guides you through the network.”
What does Argaleo expect from the Connekt network?
“I find it interesting to participate in the events to share knowledge and understand what is happening in the mobility and logistics market. Additionally, we believe in the triple helix collaboration. We are a technology company, specialised in the technical side. We develop 3D dashboards and help clients gain insights. But we do not have the market knowledge in-house. For that, we need to collaborate with specialists and consultants. We believe that knowledge resides in the Connekt network.
With the help of the network, we can define the challenges in the market and, using the knowledge from the network, translate data into the right insights.”
Together with the City of Tilburg, Argaleo is building a digital foundation for the full urban resilience challenge on the Digitwin platform. The first application: the emergency support point scan.
